Presentation

Child and juvenile psychiatry is, in almost all the countries of the European Economic Community, a recognized specialty that implies both the existence of professorships and specialized courses, and at the same time specific health care plans. Això és degut to the evolutionary biological characteristics of the mental organization both in the aspect of adaptation and in that of learning. Also the family and social organization in general to the voltant of the pathology of the child and the adolescent imprints the exercise of this specialty of some well-defined and differential characteristics.

The Master’s/Postgraduate in Childhood and Adolescent Psychology and Neuropsychiatry aims to train professionals related to Child and Adolescent Mental Health in prevention, diagnosis and psychiatric and psychological treatment of problems with infants, adolescents and you see them families. 

From an approach to concepts based on “evidence-based medicine” it is intended to bring to a theoretical training for the consolidation and expansion of knowledge previously acquired by university graduates. It offers an advanced level in up-to-date theoretical knowledge and is intended to offer resources to complete a good professional exercise in the knowledge area in which the student develops.

The complete completion of the studies allows the students to obtain the title: Master’s Diploma in neuropsychiatry and psychology of childhood and adolescence. Autonomous University of Barcelona.
